The Joshua ISD Education Foundation, Inc. is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation governed by a Board of Directors who are dedicated to education and share a vision for excellence in our schools. The Foundation was established in 2008 by a cross-section of community volunteers to support and enhance the education of all students in the Joshua Independent School District.
The Foundation solicits, manages, and distributes funds for enrichment purposes in academic program areas not otherwise funded by the District. Funding is supplemental and does not replace or alter the use of tax-based revenue. Contributions to the Foundation are received from individuals and corporations to support projects and activities, and to create an endowment fund. Programs are funded through annual donations and the interest earned on the endowment.
- To promote academic excellence for students and staff through enrichment programs and activities, and recognition of accomplishments.
- To build an endowment that perpetuates funds for excellence in education.
- To serve as a catalyst for cooperative ventures among community groups, the Foundation, and the District.
- To maximize the use of resources not available from local, state or federal sources.
